Baglamukhi Pradurbhav Katha
Long ago, during the age of Satyug, a catastrophic storm arose so powerful that it threatened to destroy the entire universe. The balance of creation was collapsing, and every being trembled in fear.
Deeply moved by their suffering, Lord Vishnu turned to Lord Shiva for guidance.
The eternal yogi, Shiva, advised Vishnu to invoke the Supreme Mother “Adi Shakti”, the only power capable of restoring cosmic harmony.
Lord Vishnu then performed intense tapasya at Haridra Sarovar, a sacred lake in Saurashtra.
Moved by His devotion, Maa Baglamukhi emerged from the golden waters- radiant, fierce, and compassionate.
With one divine command, she stilled the storm and restored peace to the universe.
Since that moment, she has been worshipped as the Goddess of Stambhan, the power to immobilize evil, silence negativity, and protect the righteous
Maa Baglamukhi, lovingly known as Pitambara Devi, is the Eighth Mahavidya in the Dasha Mahavidya tradition.
Fierce yet benevolent, she blesses her devotees with victory, protection, clarity, and inner stillness.
Clad in yellow garments, seated on a throne, and radiating divine golden light, her mere presence commands silence, not from fear, but from devotion.
She is worshipped for:
• Victory over enemies
• Success in legal, political, and personal battles
• Success in education and exams
• Control over speech, thoughts, and inner chaos
• Relief from illnesses and karmic suffering
• Protection from negative energies and unseen spiritual forces
• Unblocking wealth and abundance channels in life
Maa’s divine Stambhan Shakti acts as a shield, halting harm, silencing negativity, and restoring balance.
बगलामुखी अर्थात बगलामुखमिव मुखं यस्याः सा।
Her name is a blend of “Bagla” (a distortion of the Sanskrit “Valga”, meaning bridle or reins) and “Mukhi” (face).
Baglamukhi thus means:
“The Goddess who has the power to control and paralyze enemies.”
She is also called the Devi of Stambhan, the power to halt, still, and neutralize harmful forces.
Located on the serene banks of the Lakhundar River in Madhya Pradesh, Maa Baglamukhi Dham, Nalkheda, is one of the most powerful Siddh Peeths.
It is believed to be a Swayambhu (self-manifested) seat of Maa, where her Shakti is raw, alive, and deeply active.
During the Mahabharata era, on Lord Krishna’s advice, the Pandavas performed tapasya here to seek her blessings before battle. That ancient tradition continues today, people from across the country and world come when nothing else works.
Miracles have been witnessed here:
Legal battles resolve.
Mental peace returns.
Enemies disappear.
And most of all, faith is restored.
The color yellow is deeply sacred to Maa. It symbolizes clarity, spiritual energy, and divine power.
This is why her devotees wear yellow clothes, offer yellow flowers, and perform pujas with turmeric, yellow mustard seeds, and yellow sweets, each representing purity, protection, and divine strength.
While Maa has many mantras, the one that every sincere devotee can chant is her Beej Mantra:
“ॐ ह्लीं बगलामुखी सर्वदुष्टानां वाचं मुखं पदं स्तम्भय
जिव्हां कीलय बुद्धिं विनाशय ह्लीं ॐ स्वाहा॥”
This sacred mantra holds the power to:
• Silence negativity
• Protect from enemies
• Dissolve karmic blocks
• Unlock the path to success and prosperity
You can chant it anytime, anywhere – in moments of struggle, confusion, or calm and feel Maa’s divine presence unfolds.
If you cannot remember the full mantra, even softly chanting the Beej sound:
“ह्लीं” Hleem
with love and faith is deeply powerful.
Just Hleem carries Maa’s divine vibration and can invoke her blessings instantly.
How many times to chant?
• 36 times (as Chhattis ka Akhra is sacred to Maa)
• 51 or 108 times depending on your devotion and time
• Or just once, with pure intention and surrender.
Maa sees your bhakti, not the numbers.
In the chaos of Kalyug, where competition, lawsuits, toxic relationships, jealousy, mental unrest, and hidden enemies are common, Maa Baglamukhi is a Divine Anchor.
Whether you are fighting legal cases, dealing with emotional breakdowns, spiritual attacks, or silent rivals – surrendering to Maa at Nalkheda is known to change fate.
“Maa doesn’t always give you what you want, she gives you what your soul truly needs”.
Maa Baglamukhi does not merely bless, She rewrites destiny for her bhaktas. In Nalkheda, at the dust of Her golden feet, surrender your doubts, your fears, your battles and watch as the impossible bends in your favour.
